I don't want to spoil a lot, so ill just give ratings with a brief description on certain elements of this so-called "film".

Acting; 3/10. The acting was misplaced, awkward.. not to look at. At least convince us you're an intense guy, Mr. Grey.

Plot: 1/10. that wasn't a plot for a normal movie, it was a plot for soft-core porn.. which had as terrible acting in it as real porn.

Camera work/scenery/etc. 7/10 for what it is.. great camera work i guess and good scenery

Romance; 2/10. I've seen the notebook... that's romance. This is a poor attempt to romance. It tries to tell you they're madly in love, but it's just a weird sexual relationship.

Drama: 1/10. there is no thrill.. no intense things going on. There is no drama in this soft-core-erotic-drama.

"The deeds" 10/10.. they did it. so.. can't give it any lower points than this.

Overall, it's was horrible acted, plot-less, non-romantic nor drama movie about a girl being horny and the guy doing an attempt of BDSM, which comes down to.. soft-core.. almost nothing different than normal sex with bondage.. boring sh*t.

on that note, go watch the kings man; secret service. that's one of the best action movies i've seen in a while!

Storyline

When Anastasia Steele, a literature student, goes to interview the wealthy Christian Grey as a favor to her roommate Kate Kavanagh, she encounters a beautiful, brilliant and intimidating man. The innocent and naive Ana starts to realize she wants him. Despite his enigmatic reserve and advice, she finds herself desperate to get close to him. Not able to resist Ana's beauty and independent spirit, Christian Grey admits he wants her too, but on his own terms. Ana hesitates as she discovers the singular tastes of Christian Grey - despite the embellishments of success, his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, and his loving family, Grey is consumed by the need to control everything.

I honestly found this movie very touching and delicate. It is delicate in the way it treats difficult subjects as sexuality and the discovery of one's identity in an hostile period. The fact that it is a true story makes the whole movie even more involving.

I don't think the film is perfect - but the acting, cinematography, the screenplay are absolutely amazing. I especially loved the middle part - where all the characters try to find a way out of the problem and when for the first time they seem to be facing a fracture between them.

I thought it had a great power on people even though it doesn't seem to have had the effect I was expecting (at least during the premiere in Venice).

Storyline

Copenhagen, early 1920s. Danish artist, Gerda Wegener, painted her own husband, Einar Wegener (Eddie Redmayne), as a lady in her painting. When the painting gained popularity, Einar started to change his appearance into a female appearance and named himself Lili Elbe. With his feminism passion and Gerda's support, Einar - or Elbe attempted first-ever male to female sex reassignment surgery, a decision that turned into a massive change for their marriage, that Gerda realized her own husband is no longer a man or the person she married before. A childhood friend of Einar, art-dealer Hans Axgil (Matthias Schoenaerts), shows up and starts a complex love triangle with the couple.

The Fakir (2004) "Fakiren fra Bilbao"

Denmark, strictly geographically, doesn't belong to Scandinavia, but only to Northern Europe. However, the language, the history, the culture, the mentality of people and so many other things are so similar to Norwegians and Swedes that many of us simply ignore Kattegat and Skagerrak who divide Denmark and Sweden, and include the former in Scandinavian group of countries (as well as Finland, what is also wrong).

And, as for the movies, there hasn't been a great difference which of these countries they came from. Many directors and actors haven't been limited to their own cinematography. Co-productions were and still are usual, common way of making movies. And their movies, no matter which country was main in production, have always been recognizable, different from the rest of Europe, let alone America. Usually this different was equal to better, especially in some genres like dramas (particularly social and political ones) or family movies. Russian, Czech or French authors when inspired could reach them in movies about children, but Scandinavian movies always kept high standards.

However, about a decade ago Danish movies started to change. Their northern neighbors kept their originality, style, quality, courage and still make movies like Ikke naken, Misa mi, Före stormen, but Danish directors seem to turn their eyes to west, across the Atlantic. It looks as if they make movies for American market (hoping for a call to follow Lasse Halström). Klatretosen was a typical example: an adventure being far beyond believable, children making successfully things that adults don't even try to do, everything so clean to pass American censorship, speed of the action being the most important content in making the plot... As if made by authors of Goonies, Spy Kids etc. Some other modern Danish movies accept modern American culture and attitudes as their own, or show kids who adore American heroes (Drommen).

Fakiren fra Bilbao goes even further. The place is unrecognizable (haunted castle reminds on England though), and all the character names are English or at least sound that way, except if their nationality is important to the plot. As if this would make the movie even more acceptable to Academy nominating comitee. But, weird, the movie isn't dubbed: the European market got the Danish language version, and I wouldn't mind listening to English in such hollywoodised movie (I watched some other Scandinavian movies that were typically local - like Ronja, Sofia's verden etc - in English or German versions).

Usually Scandinavian movies are either very realistic (most of them) or fairy tales. Fakiren fra Bilbao authors couldn't decide: the basic plot is very realistic until a new character, magician Lombardo, is introduced after some one third of the movie. And this is not a SF premise like the one in Eternal Sunshine (partial memory erasing), but some magic stuff with explanations too unconvincing ever for pre-school kids. But, maybe, believable to target population - Hollywood products consumers.

This movie is not so bad as my comment might seem to be. The camera work is great, and the mood that is developed in many scenes can much better than many rich, respectable productions for adults achieved. Julie Zangenberg looks and acts similar to Klatretosen, what is good, but she shouldn't repeat herself for too long. Aksel Leth acts as if he comes from Malcolm in the Middle or some other American sitcom (but this wooden acting suits the character). Adult actors, especially Ole Thestrup, push movie from adventure to comedy, what abates flaws in the plot.

False Trail (2011) "Jägarna 2"

False Trail is named, and put under the heading, of a thriller. Because of the lack of actually thrilling thrillers, this title didn't mean much to me. But Kjell Sundvall's movie really does as it says on the tin.

In this Swedish sequel, we follow Erik Bäckström, an aging policeman called down to his old home town where a young woman has gone missing. Here we watch a murder case unfold, and are not only confronted with Erik's painful past, but are lead into a deeper, more sinister mystery than we initially imagined.

What first hits you about this movie is the dark, dense setting. Set in the picturesque woods of Norrland Sweden, you're struck by wintry lakes and friendly faces. In the beginning, the characters seem like boring, basically normal people. But when we delve into the mystery, and the first inklings of doubt and suspicion creep in, things begin to escalate, and our opinions change at every twist.

This movie really kept me alive and thinking. Its plot twists were calculated and realistic, and the acting was superb. Peter Stromare's character was fantastically played; everything we once thought we knew about him is warped and distorted until we see the character that he is. Through tongue-in-cheek gore and unprecedented acts of violence, this story will make you jump in your seat and question every motive.

Without giving too much away, notice Sundvall's directing; cutting into the truth like a fly on the wall, and letting the chaos run wild around him, until the characters realise the daunting reality just a step too late. Excellently done. In total, a well thought-through movie that did indeed thrill.

Storyline

The sequel to Jagarna (1996), the film concerns Erik who is asked to return to his hometown in Sweden to solve a brutal murder. Although hesitant to go back due to unfavourable memories of the town, Erik accepts, but finding an answer to the murder proves a complex task.

Eric takes great risks when he starts digging in the criminal material of the horrible murder case.

What happens after the happy endings of the films? What happens with the life of the heroe and his beautiful girl? What happens with their lifes after 3 years of marriage? Marvellous and great film. Satiric comedy that makes a gorgeous portrait of the young marriages nowdays and their problems. Routine, infidelity, jealousy, fear to settle down and have a family, children, the "Volvo", etc. Everybody will laugh, but probably not in the same situations.

You probably don't understand the movie or like it if you never watch the series, but if you watched the series you probably love it, is great the last adventure of the gang, so you will enjoy a one last time of entourage in 140 minutes of memories and comedy. If you don't watch the series, you may probably see this movie and don't understand a thing, or maybe you probably don't find it funny, so my advice is very simple, if you watch the full series, you're gonna love it, if you don't you can probably say that this movie is bad, but personally i love it. The movie follow the story and doesn't miss a detail of it. PS: i love Johnny Drama.

Storyline

This movie picks up where the TV show ended. Vincent Chase is offered a role by his former agent now Studio boss Ari Gold in a movie he is developing. Vincent agrees on the condition that he be allowed to direct the movie also. Nearly a year later, Vince is uncertain if the movie is ready, so he asks Ari for money to finish the movie. But Vincent has asked for money more than once already and Ari's bosses are not happy of how much they're spending. But he goes to their backer to ask for more money and he wants to see what Vince has shot so far but Vince won't let anyone see it yet. But he's planning a screening, and asks the backer to come to L.A. with him but he can't so he sends his son instead. At the screening Vince decides not to show it. But gives out DVDS. The son after watching the movie, says he has issues with Drama, Vince's brother who has a small role in the movie. Vince is unwilling to drop him. When they appease the son, he then says he has issues with Vince. So as they ...

The whole "guy has fantasies of two women" is obviously known and is admittedly getting quite old; so perhaps it's time to turn it around?

We know what kind of emotions a women would portray, in this type of movie; they're fragile and would end up getting predictably hurt/ upset. Now a man's emotional response would really be of one's curiosity.

Sometimes a fantasy story with two men who accepts to be in a relationship with one women could also be interesting. Ever thought of that? No, because obviously the script writer is not creative enough.

Of course this is only a few persons preferences; though if a director could capture a man's emotional struggle to leave or stay, that would be ten times more interesting.

Storyline

Siff, a student in sexology, find out her boyfriend Lucas and her close friend Maria is having an affair. Neither of them wants to break it up. As a solution the two women decide to share and sleep with Lucas by turns.
